I bumped into a strange website the other day that was all about wife swapping. At first I was shocked as the name, "wife swapping" sounds so ugly. I even though that it might be a site about domestic or sexual violence but then I read that it's simply what is now a days called "swinging". I have definitely heard about swinging since its become such a popular thing in recent years but when I read some more I found out that its not as recent a lifestyle as I thought it was. According to what I read wife swapping has been practiced since thebeginningof time, the old Roman orgies that we have all heard about were in fact swinging parties. I can actually believe it, just as there have always been gays even though before people really didn't come out. Instead the kept it hidden and only practiced it when ever they had a safe way to do it.

I believe that this is one of the good things about living in our time. The fact that people don't have to hide around doing things that are just human nature. I mean if people want to go ahead and practice wife swapping or gay sex they should be free to do it as long as they are adults. Some people like havingmonogamousrelationships and others like having lots or none at the same time and that is also okay. I myself prefer being part of a couple and having a steady relationship. Swinging is something that I probably would never take part in but I did find the website interesting as it gave me a new insight into it and the many reasons why people practice that lifestyle.

Some people simply begin doing it as a way to explore their sexuality and to be able to practice new things. Some find it passionate and exciting to know their partner is sleeping with someone else and sometimes will even watch. Others have become bored in their relationships and use it as a method of being able to have sex with others with our having to break off their current relationship. Its almost as if you are being allowed to cheat but with none of therepercussionsthat usually come with that. Most times it has nothing to do with matters of the heart but with sexual libido and as long as they know what they are getting into they can be part of it and just enjoy the benefits.
