Internet dating can be quite a tricky subject for some. I have had some personal experience with internet dating and have found it to have both its ups and downs. In life, it is hard sometimes to find someone that will accept you for who you are. This mostly is based on ones personality and passion for others. It can be a lot of fun to meet a stranger online and start a friendship, which later turns to more. Some start out with cybering, using text erotically to arouse ones self. This later can turn into a love for the person, especially if they have low self-esteem. Though I began with internet dating, I have discovered that there are people in my area that also accept me for who I am. They are hard to find, especially in the close minded town I am from, but they do exist. I do not intend to stroke my ego, but I have found that having confidence can help someone be more wanted. I began my teen years as an awkward female, learning more about my body and the interest that others had. I always watched from a distance at how the other couples courted and dreamed that I would one day find the guy/girl of my dreams. internet dating introduced me to this concept, but it was not until I opened my mind that I found that it is not the only means of finding true love. I remember the first time I fell in love; what a feeling that was. I was sixteen at the time and had no idea about what I wanted in life, just that I wanted to be loved. Little did I know, that a few months later that relationship would end and once again I would be left to search the sea for better fish. It was not until a few years ago that I learned the true meaning of love. It took a few relationships and some heartbreak, but in time I was shown through a very close friend what it truly means. She is my idol because she taught me to love myself and what it feels like to be loved in return. Even though my relationship with her has ended, I still have a strong bond with her and cherish the memories and times we spent together. I thank her for showing me the true meaning of love.
